WILLPOWER is the biggest stumbling block for losing weight. It doesn't matter which eating plan you choose if you don't have willpower to keep going then you could well fail.
A well-balanced eating plan is essential to obtain all the nutrients necessary to provide your mind and body with the fuel to succeed. No snacking between meals.
The mind is a powerful tool and needs protein to keep it balanced and on track for success - not just in weight loss - in anything you work on, whether it be study, employment, sport etc.
 
STEP 1
You'll need to buy a kilojoule book. The smaller the better because you can pop it in a handbag, manbag or in a pocket and have it with you all the time. The first time I used this method of controlling my weight I kept the little book with me all the time.
Regardless of what is in the media kilojoules play an important part in losing weight. With my diet structure you can eat hearty and well.

STEP 2
If you're computer savvy prepare a spreadsheet, or if you don't have the access or knowledge to do so, buy a small notebook, writing pad or whatever paper you have on hand to keep a record of food eaten and when.
 
The following are the headings for your columns:  Day, Date, Time, Kilojoules consumed, Total Kilojoules for the day, Weight in the Morning (before eating or drinking anything) and Weight at Night (on retiring).
